The main issue of this research is to explain how the five sources of moral knowledge, namely reason, revelation, nature, heart, and conscience, interact and rank in forming a coherent system in Ayatollah Sobhani's thought and to assess its effectiveness in dealing with contemporary moral issues. The question of the position, structure, function, and interaction of these sources is a question worthy of reflection, which we will answer in light of Ayatollah Sobhani's thought. The research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and a content study of his works. The findings show that Ayatollah Sobhani, by proposing the theory of "self-standardized values," considers reason to be the discoverer of moral axioms such as the goodness of justice and the ugliness of oppression, which he judges by relying on "innate conscience." Revelation operates along reason and complements it in devotional details, nature is the common ground of universal values, and the heart becomes the center of intuitive perception with purification. It is worth noting that the effectiveness of this ethical system is the result of the synergistic interaction of these five sources of knowledge, and not the result of their separate and independent functioning. This model, by linking the cognitive dimension, i.e. reason and revelation, and the existential dimension, i.e. nature, heart, and conscience, is capable of confronting moral relativism and methodically deducing emerging issues, and is considered a distinctive step in Islamic moral philosophy.
